NB – linprocfs isn’t “jail safe” – mounting it will give away the names of all mounted partitions on the host (this isn’t too much hassle, but who knows what else might leak out)

‘k, found out yesterday that to get ps working is a piece of cake …

don’t mount FreeBSD proc, mount linprocfs …

Now everything works as expected …

The devfs issue still exists, but that one can be ‘worked around’ manually, since I can’t find a switch or anything to disable the behaviour

I’ve built this for a client to play with, and there was only one problem I had with the installation … apt-get ssh appears to want to create a link between /sbin/MAKEDEV and /dev/MAKEDEV, but, with devfs mounted, it can’t do it … so fails …

I ended up umounting devfs, running app-get again, which then failed with a PRNG error … so, I remounted devfs and ran it a third time, which succeeded … looks link stage is done as part of the download, but once downloaded, is skip’d …
